Dennis Hill, Ph.D., HRIP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR

IHRIM Chairperson of the Board/CEO | Cofounder. Consortium DeHR | Founder, Sagacity LLC

For more than forty years, Dennis Hill, Ph.D., served as a Change Catalyzerâ„¢, Tech Tamerâ„¢, and integrated solutions architect, influencing more than twenty boards and two hundred organizations worldwide. With backgrounds in engineering, management, law, manufacturing, and higher education, Dr. Hill breaks down complex problems into dot-connectable components that often lead to optimal solutions – a polymathic approach to problem-solving that he shares with thousands of students and professionals each year.  His practical work and applied research have always focused on integrated systems, knowledge relationship management, and data ownership/security at the core while incorporating the emerging technologies at the time – from graphical user interfaces in the early 1980s to blockchain architectures today. He edited and published two #1 international bestselling business books with like-minded, successful cohorts in recent years, adding to accolades and awards for innovative technology, university curriculum design, and community service. Today, Dennis spends much of his time sharing his insights, experiences, and predictions with the global community at the intersection of human resources and information technology. Although he officially retired in 2021, he remains modestly active, advising organizations through board-level engagements on the future of work and workforce recruitment, increasing the representation of all minorities in STEM fields, which he has advocated since the 1980s, and improving organizational productivity and profitability through integrated processes.

Dr. Hill founded one of the first accredited computer science & engineering programs in the United States. Concurrently, he worked strategically and tactically with businesses, developing the first enterprise-class CRM solution on Oracle/Sun networks that integrated ERP, where he first envisioned and extended contact relationship management processes from sales to vendor management and to workforce recruitment and development. His mantra, that “education is our greatest force for social progress,” summarizes a distinctive commitment to formal and continuing education, life-work balance, and the value of professional certifications. Dr. Hill has earned degrees in biomedical, electrical, and computer science engineering, business, and law, and he is active in SHRM and HRCI, the Society for Manufacturing Engineers, and a Practitioner in the Assn. for Conflict Resolution. Dennis holds a Ph.D. in Business from Sorbonne, a Master of Science in Law from Champlain College, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Marquette University, specializing in Biomedical Engineering with special honors in Computers.

As a committed volunteer, Dennis offered his expertise as a biomedical engineer and experienced EMT-I/II, assisting in wound care and triage at Port-au-Prince, Haiti in the immediate aftermath of the 2010 earthquake with Hope International. As part of IHRIM, he co-created a three-year plan to ensure financial stability and long-term growth, established strategic alliances with businesses, government units, universities, and other associations, and co-founded Consortium DeHR, an international body dedicated to the secure, on-chain specification, development, and certification of IT solutions for engaging a global workforce in the Web3.0 era (www.DeHR.org).
