About Workforce
Solutions Review

Workforce Solutions Review is IHRIM’s quarterly print and digital magazine, dedicated to increasing individual and organizational effectiveness in the workplace through visionary and evolving uses of technology.

We serve a global audience of executive management and senior-level human resource and information technology leadership, university professors and students, and other current or emerging thought leaders and visionaries.

All articles published in WSR should primarily focus on human capital management (HCM), which we define as the intersection between human resource strategy and operations (e.g., benefits, recruiting, talent management, workforce management, payroll, et al) and the information technology solutions required to manage them.

Contributor Guidelines

We welcome contributed articles from IHRIM members and other HR tech professionals who share our passion for advancing the HR tech practice.

Have an idea for an article?

Articles may be considered for both digital and/or print publication, and all pitches are evaluated by the WSR Editorial Committee according to the following criteria:

  • Depth of research and thoroughness in addressing the subject matter.
  • Clarity of writing.
  • Relevance for a domestic and international management readership.
  • Originality and innovation.
  • Broad strategic focus.
  • Quality.
  • Accuracy

Articles are accepted with the understanding that their content is the author’s original work and has been not previously published (in electronic or print format). They should not include an explicit sales pitch for any particular product or service. (We do offer sponsorship opportunities.)

If Your Pitch is Accepted

If your article idea is accepted for publication, we will share a formal author agreement for you to sign, as well as additional guidelines on formatting and desired length.

While we do not have a strict word count, most of our published articles are between 500 and 1,500 words. We have fewer restrictions for digital-only publication.

Articles may be edited for reasons of space, clarity and to conform to IHRIM’s editorial style guidelines.

Author Biography & Headshot

Please include a brief biography that includes your name, title, current company, or organization, academic or professional affiliations, relevant experience in the HR/HR technology field, educational background, and other relevant credentials. A high-resolution headshot in jpg format is also required.

Charts & Graphics

Any graphics (charts, figures, tables, and graphs, etc.) should be professionally prepared and submitted in a form suitable for electronic and print reproduction. Each should be captioned as figures or tables and be numbered sequentially in the text. They may be incorporated in the text for purposes of placement but should also be submitted separately. We can accept .jpg, .tif, or PDF. It is essential that all images provided are at least 300 kb (ideally higher).

Author Agreement

If your article is accepted, you will be required to sign an author agreement, giving Workforce Solutions Review permission to publish your work.
