Got Predictive Analytics
It used to be that organizations struggled with the basics of
producing workforce data with a certain tolerance of accuracy.
Today, organizations are focusing more on the value that
workforce data can provide to business leaders. While the most
prevalent metrics can be informative and are often easiest to
track, they are not always the most important. And what do these
metrics actually predict? Join this session to learn more about

an analytically driven HR function. Join BASF and Towers Watson

analytics.

Session #5
Moving in the Right Direction: Process to Hire the Best
Learn how Penske shifted their staffing focus using IHRIM’s
Advanced Staffing Flow Dynamic model. In 2008, Penske’s human
resources department launched an initiative to transform into a
customer-focused unit primarily driven by business needs. One
pain point rose to the top - Penske had no recruiting process.
To remedy this issue, the HR team developed a talent management
strategy leveraging technology to reduce hiring cycle time,
monitor internal bench strength and select the best candidate.
Presenters:
Kristen Arner, HRIP, Manager:HRIS and Human Capital Analytics, Penske
Kristen is the Manager of HRIS and Human Capital Analytics for
Penske. She began her career at Penske 15 years ago as a
Logistics Analyst and progressed through Project Manager, Major
Account Manager, Black Belt and Master Black Belt roles before
transferring to HR in 2011.
Mario Matesic, Sr. Financial Analyst – HR, Penske
Session #6
Are
You
Ready to Ride the Next Wave: Getting ahead of the
analytics revolution There are a confluence of forces
driving transformational change through the sphere of workforce
analytics. The demands from Boards and CEO’s has driven up the
internal pressure. At the same time the rebounding economy has
increased the competition for finding and keeping the best
talent. Significant changes in the way in which workforce
analytics can be sourced and provided to the organization are
providing HR groups with the capability to ride the wave of
change and meet the demands of their management and the market.
The presentation explains the drivers of change from both the
business and technology perspective. We explain the critical
forces that are leading HR groups to re-think their approach to
workforce analytics, get beyond metrics and deliver insight that
drives results. We cover the key trends as they relate to
business demands, IT infrastructure, the costs and benefits of
analytic programs as well as the knowledge and skills required
by HR practitioners. Participants in this session will gain the
critical knowledge they need to lift their HR group and
organization onto this wave of change and join in this critical
transformation in the way that HR delivers to the organization.
Presenter: Ian Cook, CHRP, Visier
Ian Cook, is focused on
presenting the most informative and business-related HR material
to the business community in North America. Ian's international
career has involved developing performance-oriented people
practices for global companies in Europe and North America. Ian
has held roles in operational management, sales, consulting and
founded his own business. He is currently focused on developing
the next generation of workforce analytics tools and prior to
this built the HR Metrics Service – Canada’s leading source of
HR benchmark data. Ian specializes in linking HR practices to
business. An engaging speaker Ian has spoken at international
conferences and as faculty for the University of British
Columbia. Ian holds a Masters in Politics and Philosophy from
Edinburgh University and an MBA from Lancaster University.
