IHRIM Volunteer Program
Get Involved...Stay Connected!
As the world's leading clearinghouse for the HRIM (Human Resource Information Management) profession, IHRIM is a community of experts – a dynamic group of practitioners, vendors, consultants, students, and faculty that continues to grow, not just in numbers, but in its scope of knowledge and information.
The IHRIM Volunteer Program provides members the opportunity to become active participants in this vibrant community by sharing their skills and knowledge to help IHRIM and the HRIM profession to grow.
There are many benefits including both personal growth and professional development that can be gained through active participation on a committee or volunteer assignment. Skills in communication, teamwork, project planning and oversight, and financial responsibility are constantly developed through participation in IHRIM. If you hold an HRIP credential, your volunteer activities will earn you recertification credit hours (RCHs) to help you meet your continuing certification requirements.
Questions to ask yourself before you volunteer:
• How much time do I have to commit?
• Do I want to commit to a one-time assignment, short-term assignment or an on-going assignment?
• What skills do I have to offer?
• Am I an active IHRIM member? (The volunteer program is only open to IHRIM members in good standing).
