The IHRIM Summit Award Program recognizes members who have made significant, long-term contributions to the advancement of IHRIM's mission and goals.
2012 Summit Award Winner:

Robert H. Chapman, Jr., HRIP, PMP
Bob Chapman has over 30 years of diverse operational, managerial and consulting experience in information systems, human resources, payroll operations and outsourcing services. He has consulted with clients on strategy, management, processes, and technology for human resources and payroll. He has market experience including the service industry, telecommunications, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, textiles, higher education, public sector, health care, financial services and forest products. Bob also has international business experience in Canada, Costa Rica and Asia-Pacific.
Bob has experience as a practitioner and consultant, working on all phases of HRMS implementation, operations and support, and has performed a wide variety of roles in project management, business process evaluation and redesign, service center design and review, current and future technology assessment, and user documentation and training.
He holds a Masters in Business Information Systems from Georgia State University, and earned certifications as a Human Resource Information Professional (HRIP) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
Bob served on the IHRIM Board of Directors in the early 1980s and is a founding member, past president and former director of the IHRIM Atlanta/Southeast Chapter. He is also a member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals, the Project Management Institute and the American Payroll Association. He has delivered a number of presentations on HR technology to various audiences including IHRIM, SHRM and the American Management Association.
Bob has always been a strong proponent of education in the HRIM profession. Last year, he took the lead in reviewing/ revising the IHRIM Fundamentals of HR Information Management course and this year took on the same role for the IHRIM Successful HR Systems & Service Selection course. He has been a strong supporter of the HRIP Certification Program – teaching the HRIP review course and contributing to the body of knowledge. He continues to demonstrate a high level of commitment to the field of practice. |
